The buildings on Tweede Constantijn Huygensstraat were constructed in a three-unit design around 1899. This building period is characterized by, among other things, beautiful high ceilings, rooms with suites, and exterior decorative moldings. After the construction of the Canal Belt, Amsterdam aimed to expand to the south and west sides of the city. The architectural styles of the homes in Vondelstraat and Van Eeghenstraat are very similar. In 2015, the current owners thoroughly renovated the ground-floor apartment under the guidance of VKV Restauraties and architect Robbert de Goede, in a highly tasteful and timeless manner. Beautiful natural materials were used, and the well-thought-out layout gives the home much character, atmosphere, and charm.
The spacious living area has a living room at the front with a lot of privacy. At the rear, there is a luxurious and beautifully designed kitchen with a dining area and French doors leading to the large garden.
The suite is centrally located and has a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a large sink and walk-in shower.
The house has a cozy front garden at the front and a beautifully landscaped 58 m² garden at the back, featuring lush vegetation and a charming characteristic garden house.
