Our firm and I have been closely involved as consultants in the planning of the VALERIUS concept and complex. I was inspired by the vision and dream of the project’s initiators and was able to contribute my expertise to its realization. From the initial detailed drawings, through the construction site, to the final completion, I was able to follow the entire process up close. The architects, consultants, and contractor involved pushed each other to the limit as a team, down to the smallest detail, to achieve the result as it stands today. It has truly become a unique complex. The concept of “luxury” takes on an entirely new meaning here. Living here feels like—and is—a privilege. Every single day. The building’s design will gain strength over time and ultimately become timeless. This stems from the quality of the materials used, the form, and the volume. The current owner, together with his own interior designer and DIS Studio, has perfected the home into a remarkably spacious and luxuriously finished residence with its own distinct identity. A beautiful combination of colors and high-quality materials was chosen, all of which blend seamlessly together. Given that I and our firm have been so deeply involved in every phase of the building, the residents, and the home itself, it is a great honor to now be able to seek new owners for this unique home.

Design vision

VALERIUS was born from the dream of creating a complex in one of the most beautiful locations in Amsterdam—one that is unique in the Netherlands. The project has now project , and Amsterdam has gained a building that is truly one of a kind. Roberto Meijer and his team at MVSA designed a striking building whose massing references the original structure that once stood here. Additionally, the building was designed with the vision that living spaces with west-facing outdoor areas lend a sustainable quality to the residences. The building has clearly been given the identity that Meijer and MVSA stand for. The colors and materials are recognizable, as is the dynamic of the facade. Internally, DIS Studio, through Daniela Germone, ensured a contemporary design in the finishes and color schemes of all common areas.  In doing so, they have given the building an interior warmth and a timeless finish that is of the highest quality and offers refined luxury. The high-quality lifestyle services, all forms of high-quality care, extensive wellness facilities, and premium finishes can truly be called unique. Through the stately entrance, you enter the central lobby where you are welcomed as if you were a guest at a six-star hotel. The 24-hour reception and security are also located here; everything is designed for carefree living. In the Clubhouse on the ground floor, you can both receive (business) guests and meet fellow residents.

Perfume Lounge

At the 'Perfume lounge', they focus on creating and advising on fragrances for companies and organizations and what scent can add to a brand or organization. In addition, they have a store with an assortment of the most special perfumes in the world, where they also give personal fragrance advice. Advice for on the skin or in the house. According to the experts, scent adds something that is not visible and tangible. You can use scent in different ways in a space. It starts, of course, with the fact that it should not smell negative. There are quite a few spaces where you smell the sewer or sanitary facilities, where there has been a lot of smoking or where the extraction is not good and it smells like food. The most simple way of scent in the house is that it smells clean. Many people associate cleaning or detergent with a clean, tidy and well-kept house. In addition, you can turn on the ambiance. Just like with light and music, you can soften or strengthen the atmosphere. You can make it smell very homely or very modern. Rural or artistic. Or very minimalist or intimate.

Amsterdam Winery

Although they have been professionally tasting and selecting wine at Wijnhuis Amsterdam for more than 25 years, the wine house in Amsterdam is a fairly recent addition to their story. After numerous tasting sessions, they were so enthusiastic about the German wines that they were only too happy to give the wines a platform within the Netherlands. In May 2018, they opened Wijnhuis.Amsterdam, initially with only three of their own imports from Germany. They now represent an impressive range of twenty German winemakers, three from Austria and one from Luxembourg. When selecting the wines, elegance, drinkability, low alcohol percentages and minimal intervention in the production process are important.

Zikking & Son Butcher Shop

Butcher shop Zikking & Zoon is located on Marathonweg and is a household name in Amsterdam. Owner Robert Zikking was born and raised in Amsterdam and, together with his wife, started his own business in 1995 with passion and confidence. As he himself says: "It's not a fairy tale, but a delicious reality with a history." The filet americain is made using a recipe from an old Jordanian dam, and the nostalgic Amsterdam beef sausage is a must-try.
