De Centrale: From Telephone Exchange to Townhouses
Hidden behind a facade on Filips van Almondestraat lies one of the most remarkable transformations in Amsterdam West. The former telephone exchange, built in 1928—where women once manually connected telephone calls—has been Broersma Wonen by GPS Vastgoed, Rijnboutt Architecten, Studio Piet Boon, and Broersma Wonen into nineteen townhouses. A quiet, green courtyard in the heart of De Baarsjes, where light, height, and tranquility come together.
De Kaaij: living along the Tolhuis Canal in Amsterdam North.
On the Tolhuis Canal in Amsterdam-Noord, MOS and Multi Corporation developed De Kaaij: a compact residential building with ten waterfront apartments. In collaboration with Prosman de Wit Architects and Broersma, they created a residential concept in which the target audience, architecture, and location were closely aligned from the very beginning. The result: all residences Sold completion.
