Ode Wharf
This modern apartment, with a beautiful 180-degree unobstructed view of the water and the Oosterdok, is located in the heart of the city center. It is a unique and vibrant location with many amenities such as shops, restaurants, and a hotel around the corner. The building, designed in 2011 by HvDN architects, was part of the large-scale Ode new-build project at the time. The island has its own unique dynamic and is close to Central Station, but is also easily accessible by car.
The active homeowners' association, consisting of 28 apartments, is professionally managed. This place has a spacious character and a relaxed atmosphere. Living here means living in one of the most beautiful places in Amsterdam. The current owners have rented out the property for a number of years, but now feel the time is right to sell the apartment.

Design Vision
The redeveloped Oosterdokseiland, an inner-city location near Central Station, offers a mix of functions: residences, offices, a hotel, a library, a conservatory, shops, and restaurants. Formerly an industrial zone, it has been transformed into a modern, urban space. The urban development plan by EEA Architects is based on high density within six blocks, intersected by narrow alleys and enhanced by courtyards. Each block was designed by multiple architects. The building by HVDN architects is located on the south-facing quay, with shops on the bottom two floors and luxury apartments above with sweeping views of the city.
The two volumes within the HVDN architects' section, the corner and the palazzo, are separated by a 'gap' that extends across the entire height of the building. The sharp corners of the plot give the apartments unique shapes. They are spacious, light, and offer beautiful views of the city center through large floor-to-ceiling glass windows that can be opened completely. Placing the windows at different depths in the façade creates an attractive relief.
In summary, the architecture of Oosterdokskade 29 combines modern aesthetics with functionality and Sustainability. The building is a striking addition to the Amsterdam skyline and an example of contemporary Dutch architecture.
