At Broersma, we believe that exceptional spaces for living and working begin with inspiration. Not only in architecture or interior design, but also in art. Art sharpens our perception, enriches our environment, and connects people with ideas and with each other. That is why, through Broersma Arthouse, we support art initiatives that bring color, depth, and imagination to Amsterdam.

Art as a way of life

Work and living only truly become meaningful when they are connected to culture. At Broersma, we deal with aesthetics, space, and experience on a daily basis—but art allows us to broaden our horizons. We contribute to a city where creativity, craftsmanship, and imagination set the tone.

Connection to the city

From galleries and fairs to independent creators and innovative platforms: Broersma Arthouse seeks encounters. For our customers, partners, and followers, it is an invitation to watch, think, and become part of Amsterdam's creative rhythm.

“In the homes and offices we visit, we notice that art touches people. It inspires our customers and they feel visibly connected to it.”

Broersma Arthouse March 28/29, 2026

On March 28 and 29, 2026, Broersma organized a Broersma Arthouse at Van Eeghenlaan 28 in Amsterdam. During this two-day event, a unique group of artists was brought together in a distinctive home where art and architecture converge. The participating artists were brought together for this occasion by artist Robbert de Goede, who is also represented in the exhibition with his own work. Visitors have the opportunity to experience the art in an intimate, home-like setting. This creates an inspiring encounter between art, space, and the public.

We also find special initiatives such as De Nieuwe Vernissage inspiring. Artscout Cécé Cohen brought together young artists under the age of 25 with art lovers over the age of 50: two generations that stimulate and surprise each other in a unique location in Amsterdam-Zuid.

Art in the home

For special real estate projects, buildings with history and allure, we ask artists to temporarily exhibit their work in interiors that enhance the experience. This way, art not only gets a place, but also an audience: residents, visitors, and enthusiasts who appreciate beauty. For example, we gave Megan from Motel Bodega the space to exhibit her quilted artworks in a redevelopment project in Amsterdam Zuid.

New collaboration

We recently entered into a partnership with KloppArt, Nicolien Kloppert's gallery. She has an impressive collection of lithographs by Matisse, Picasso, and Van Dongen, and offers personal advice on how to best showcase them in an interior. Her collection will soon have its own space at Broersma Arthouse, where art and living come together once again.

Art brings color, nuance, and humanity to our living environment. At Broersma Arthouse, we want to share that feeling—in our buildings, our city, and hopefully also in the homes of our readers.

Amsterdam, a paradise for museum lovers.

Amsterdam is a city that can rightly be called a paradise for museum lovers. From the world-famous Rijksmuseum to the intimate Van Gogh Museum, art and history come together here in a way that you won't find anywhere else. The museums of Amsterdam distinguish themselves through their unique mix of masterpieces from the Golden Age and modern innovation. Where else can you admire a Rembrandt and then enjoy interactive experiences, such as in the Moco Museum or the NXT Museum, which is entirely focused on digital art? In addition, the small-scale and specialized museums, such as the Tassenmuseum or the Verzetsmuseum, make the city a true treasure trove of stories and culture. The location of many museums in historic canal houses or iconic buildings, such as the modern Eye Filmmuseum, adds an extra dimension to the experience. This unique combination of tradition, diversity and innovation makes the museums of Amsterdam a cultural experience that cannot be compared with any other city.
