Office building with warehouse commissioned by N.V. Elberfelder Handels- en Exportmaatschappij, built in 1912-1913 to a design by architect Jac. Duncker in a transitional architectural style with influences from Rationalism and Eclecticism. The building has its front facade on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and its rear facade on Spuistraat. Several revisions to Duncker's drawings were made by architect A. Biebricher; Duncker's design drawing showed the building with different window shapes, entrances, and decorative vases in Location the neoclassical statues on the top floor. In 1916-1917, the N.V. Drukkerij De Standaard commissioned a renovation Location the direction of architects De Vlugt and Domhof, after which it was occupied in 1918 by the editorial staff and printing works of that newspaper. De Standaard was founded in 1872 as the main organ of the anti-revolutionaries. Abraham Kuyper led the newspaper from its first year until his death in 1920 (with an interruption from 1901 to 1905). After that, H. Colijn was editor-in-chief of the Christian brothers' newspaper for several periods. During the occupation, the newspaper was banned for a long time and after the liberation, it was not revived as a daily newspaper. The newspaper Trouw moved into the building in 1945. In the 1960s, the Holland printing company moved into the building.

The bathroom is centrally located and has a window facing the courtyard next to the stairwell of the complex. The bathroom is equipped with a large bathtub, toilet, and double sink.

Accessibility
Conveniently located to the A10 motorway via the Piet Hein Tunnel and the IJ Tunnel. The metro stop of the North-South line is a short distance away and there are several tram lines on the Rokin. Central Station is also a 10-minute walk away.
