The village-like Haarlemmerbuurt neighborhood offers independent shops, concept stores, bookstores, and trendy cafés along the main street. The area is known for its Art Deco cinema, The Movies, which shows arthouse films, and the market on Haarlemmerplein, where organic food is Sold every Wednesday.
