Guided tour
The entrance, with its communal hall, opens the way to the private domain located on the first floor. The living room has a beautiful width of almost 8 meters at the front, and its corner location makes the space extra light.
A study area has been created at the front, a perfect place for work or relaxation, semi-separated from the living room by a wall of cupboards with a gas fireplace. The kitchen, designed by DIS studio, embraces exclusivity through customization and high-quality materials. An island with an integrated dining table and a coffee corner form the heart of this space and are equipped with modern appliances.
The master bedroom, connected to the living room via a wide steel door with glass, retains the light and provides access to the terrace. A custom-made wardrobe and air conditioning increase the level of comfort. The second bedroom, with a wall of cupboards, is ideal as a guest room.
The bathroom, which was renovated in 2019, is very comfortable thanks to its double shower, double sink, and an additional toilet. There is also a guest bathroom.
The outdoor space is a gem: a spacious terrace on the first floor facing northwest. There is also a south-facing balcony adjacent to the living room.
Neighborhood Guide
At the end of the 19th century, as Amsterdam’s city center became increasingly crowded, there was a growing need for a green neighborhood close to downtown. In 1881, architect Zocher designed the Willemspark, now better known as the Vondelpark. A few decades later, the first villas sprang up there, surrounding the ponds. Stately homes in classical architectural styles welcomed families to this quieter and greener part of the city.
The grandeur of yesteryear remains intact. Both the residents and the high-quality offerings of Simon Meijssen Bakery, chocolatier Artichoc, greengrocer Wessels, bistro Jules, Michelin-starred restaurant Ron Gastrobar, and the French seafood restaurant VISQUE give this residential neighborhood its contemporary allure. Located between Vondelpark, Koninginneweg, and Amstelveenseweg—with the Museum Quarter within walking distance—this is an ideal corner of Amsterdam to live in, where relaxation and inspiration are always close at hand.

I have previously sold an apartment for this owner, who takes excellent care of his property and often opts for good quality and Italian design. The nice thing about the apartment is that you enter it from the ground floor, which gives it some extra privacy (no shared staircase).
The nice thing about the apartment is its corner location, which ensures that it gets plenty of light and sun. Another big plus is that there is a balcony at the front and a terrace at the rear. These high-quality outdoor spaces contribute to the comfort of the apartment. The neighborhood offers a wide range of high-quality shops and restaurants such as Jules/Juliette, Coffee District, Visque, Ron's gastrabar, and Café Garcon.

's design vision
The most popular architectural style in the second half of the 19th century was Neo-Renaissance, a period in which the Dutch Renaissance of the 16th century was reinterpreted. Typical of Neo-Renaissance are the horizontal layers of natural stone between the brickwork and the stepped gables, which are almost indistinguishable from those of the Renaissance period. The historical sentiment was now reinforced by an even more exuberant use of decorations. In this block of buildings and houses, it is characteristic that the facades have large windows, often with a bay window, and a balcony in the design. The floors were all generously proportioned.
The front door is distinguished with an imposing entrance. The brickwork is refined, with roll layers, arches, and pilasters. Often, as here, the facade is embellished with natural stone. The property was completely renovated in 2016, including a new foundation, roof, Services and installations, window frames, kitchen, and sanitary facilities, etc. Despite all the modernizations, the building has managed to retain its character.
entrance
The front door is located in the communal hall; from the ground floor, you enter the private domain. There is space here for a wardrobe. A wide and easy staircase leads to the first floor.
Living and cooking
The design carefully considers sunlight and spatial awareness. The living room extends across the full width, nearly 8 meters, with light entering from late morning until midday, thanks in part to the windows on the side.
A study has been created at the front, a perfect place to work from home or create a comfortable reading corner. The partition between the study and the living room is formed by a wall of cupboards with a gas fireplace.
The kitchen is an exclusive design by DIS studio, known for their customization and high-quality materials/brands. The kitchen is designed as a large island with an integrated high dining table. Next to the island is an additional coffee corner. The kitchen is finished with robust materials and equipped with modern appliances such as an oven, microwave, dishwasher, Quooker, and induction hob with a downdraft ventilation system.
Sleeping and bathing
The master bedroom adjoins the living room and features a wide steel door with glass. This not only provides optimal light, but also maintains accessibility to the terrace. The master bedroom has a custom-made wardrobe, also designed by DIS studio, and air conditioning. Here you can enjoy a wonderfully cool night's sleep on a hot summer night. The second bedroom is ideal as a guest room and has a beautiful built-in wardrobe.
In 2019, the bathroom underwent a renovation, during which a double shower, a vanity unit with two sinks, and an extra toilet were installed. The look is chic but understated. There is also a separate guest toilet.
outdoor space
What makes this home truly unique is the spacious terrace on the first floor. A terrace measuring over 20 m² has been created on the ground floor extension. Here you can sit sheltered and enjoy the lovely late afternoon sun. In addition, the living room provides access to a south-facing balcony. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
