Live in the bustling heart of De Pijp with all amenities within easy reach. This charming and wonderfully sunny ground floor apartment of approximately 73 m² with a spacious south-facing garden makes it possible. The apartment has a spacious living room, an open kitchen, a bedroom with walk-in closet, and a luxurious bathroom. In 2003, the foundation was renewed and the property—which stands on its own land—was split.
The house has its own entrance on the ground floor. The hallway with guest toilet provides access to all Rooms: the living room with open kitchen, the bedroom with walk-in closet, and the bathroom.
The spacious layout of the living room is particularly noteworthy, further accentuated by the high ceilings and the sea of light that floods in through the conservatory at the rear. This gives Immediately cozy feel. The attractive wooden floor also contributes to this.
The open kitchen has a modern look and is generously equipped with built-in appliances, from a five-burner gas stove, combination microwave, oven with steam oven next to it, to a dishwasher and refrigerator.
The conservatory forms the transition to the outdoors and almost literally brings the garden inside. This spacious, sunny city garden offers numerous possibilities. It is an ideal spot for growing roses and there is more than enough space for a garden shed.
The bedroom is located at the front of the house and has standard dimensions. A large walk-in closet is directly connected to the bedroom, as is the comfortable bathroom, which is equipped with a sink, shower, and washing machine connection.
The outdoor space
An important plus point: the house has a spacious Rear garden approximately 62 m² which, thanks to its south-facing position, benefits from maximum sunshine. This makes it ideal for wonderful summer dinners and cozy get-togethers with friends and family.
Design vision
The ground floor apartment is part of a well-maintained building dating from 1881 on Govert Flinckstraat, in the highly sought-after style characteristic of this period of construction. In 2003, the entire building was renovated and divided into apartments.
The surroundings
Located in the bustling De Pijp district, with a wide range of nice coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. The lively Albert Cuyp Market, the most famous market in the Netherlands with a wide range of market stalls, is within walking distance. Sarphatipark, with its extensive lawns, ponds, and beautiful trees, is also just around the corner. Ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoying the tranquility of nature.
Parking facilities
Parking is possible via a permit system on public roads (permit area Zuid 3.1). A parking permit for this neighborhood is also valid in Zuid-3 and Zuid-4. The permit costs for residents are €283.33 per 6 months. Currently, the waiting time is 6 months (source: Local authority , November 2022). In addition, there are several parking garages in the neighborhood where you can also park with a resident permit.
Accessibility
Govert Flinckstraat is easily accessible thanks to public transport connections within walking distance and various arterial roads in the immediate vicinity. De Pijp has its own metro station on the North/South line, and the tram lines in the neighborhood offer good connections to the rest of Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. The A10 motorway is also easy and quick to reach by car.

What the resident will miss
De Pijp is one of the nicest neighborhoods in Amsterdam. So when I came across this house, the decision was easy. An apartment in the best part of town, on a quiet street, but just around the corner from all the cafés, restaurants, shops, and Sarphatipark, with high ceilings, an attached conservatory that provides extra light in the living room, and a large south-facing garden. An ideal place to live.
In the garden, if you move with the sun, you can sit in the sun almost all day long. You can sunbathe on a deck chair, eat outside, drink rosé with friends, or barbecue in the spring and summer months. My favorite place in the house is the kitchen. The pendant lamps from Foscarini are a perfect match for the kitchen from Italian design brand Cesar. I will miss being able to open the conservatory completely when the weather is nice.
De Pijp is a neighborhood where you Immediately feel Immediately , thanks to its relaxed and laid-back atmosphere. It's the place to be to grab a table outside when the sun is shining, have a drink in the pub with colleagues on a Friday afternoon after work, or go out for dinner with friends or family on the weekend. There are plenty of options to choose from. The best coffee can be found at Alberto Pozzetto. Brut de Mer is the place to go for oysters and champagne. Café Caron is a cozy French-style bistro where you can enjoy delicious food. For a slightly more luxurious setting, Maris Piper is highly recommended. Izakaya is the place for cocktails and sushi, and Cannibale Royale has the best burgers.
What I will miss most is the neighborhood and the fact that everything is just around the corner, within walking distance of the apartment. It's also nice that you can quickly get out of the city when you need to with the North-South line. You can be at Schiphol Airport within 20 minutes. Ideal if you love to travel or travel regularly for work.
