Ronald doesn't like to say "no," but he never goes for the quick deal.

"I'm good at selling houses, but I do it my way." Listening to the customer, analyzing the situation, and giving honest advice when necessary is what that means to him: "Sometimes I say, 'Don'tFor Sale , it's just not a good house.'"

Ronald studied Commercial Economics in Zwolle, and after spending some time in IT, he switched to the housing sector, where he is attracted by the diversity. No two houses in Amsterdam are the same. Sometimes he sells a historic canal house dating from 1650, then a more uniform 1970s house, or a sunny house from 1900 on the Vondelpark. He now knows almost immediately whether a house is a good match for the client or not.

Ronald values environmental friendliness within the company, which is why the Broersma team travels to appointments by bicycle: "It's very Amsterdam, we get there quickly, we're on time, and we don't have any parking problems." When asked about his favorite places in the capital, Ronald chooses the Amsterdamse Bos, where he walks with his children, visits the goat farm, or eats pancakes. With friends, he heads to Bosboom Toussaintstraat in Oud-West: "Neighborhood restaurant 'De Italiaan' is my favorite place for a beer and pizza or pasta."
