Daniël de Bont
NVM Registered Real Estate Agent (partner)
Daniël works closely with the client to ensure a successful purchase or sale.
"We work closely together, and I sometimes speak to clients five or six times a day," says Daniël, aware that buying a house is part of his daily routine, but for clients it is something that happens only once or twice in their lifetime. "A business success in the For Sale sales department gives me satisfaction, but of course it is more important that clients are happy and content in their new home."
Daniël studied Real Estate & Brokerage at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, did an internship at Broersma, and never left. "I know all aspects of the company and my profession, from putting up sales signs to closing the deal," says Daniël, who loves the game of negotiation.
Providing advice on the redevelopment of old buildings is his passion. Daniel fondly recalls an empty church building on Hoofddorpplein that was restored into ten city villas. Daniel knows what the customer is looking for and was involved as a real estate agent from start to finish, from the first drawings to the sale. He believes it is important that ceilings, panel doors, and other characteristic elements are preserved during restoration. "A house is something you pass on," says Daniel. "You can live there for a while and make it your own, but a house should not lose its own character."
He considers the renovated former Citroën garage on Stadionplein in Oud-Zuid to be an architectural masterpiece. Daniel points out that the building, designed in 1930 by Jan Wils, is a national monument, and he recommends the restaurant WILS that is now housed there: "Michelin chef Joris Bijdendijk rules the kitchen and you can enjoy delicious food there."
