There are also 30 new projects in development, including the Prinsensgracht in Amsterdam.
Rosewood will open its first Dutch branch of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts in 2023 on Prinsengracht in the former Palace of Justice. The historic building will be converted into an ultra-luxurious hotel with input from design studios Sagrada and Studio Piet Boon, among others.
Sonia Cheng, CEO of the Rosewood Hotel Group: "Thanks to its unique character and culture, Amsterdam is a suitable location for promoting the 'A Sense of Place' philosophy that is central to Rosewood. We look forward to combining Amsterdam's distinctive charm with a modern sense of style to not only meet the latest standards in luxury hospitality, but to exceed them."
Office space with allure. Thanks to its interior design and stucco work, "Het Paleis" is one of the most beautiful canal houses in the Golden Bend of the Herengracht in Amsterdam's Canal District.
A rich history and decoration
The former residence, dating from 1731, was built and renovated in 1733 in the French Louis XIV style, based on a design by architects and designers Jan van der Streng and Jan van Logteren, commissioned by Mattheus de Neufville and Petronella van Lennep de Neufville. Hence its name: Huis De Neufville. The modest sandstone façade contrasts sharply with what lies behind the front door: a classicist palace full of lavish sculpture, stucco, and painting.
Merijn Hartog, acting on behalf of Broersma Werken , has Broersma Werken the monumental canal-side property of approximately 910 m² at Herengracht 475 in Amsterdam for Rosewood Hotel Group.
