The buildings on Tweede Constantijn Huygensstraat were constructed in a triad around 1899. This construction period is characterized by beautiful high ceilings, Rooms suites, and decorative moldings, among other features. After the construction of the Canal Belt, Amsterdam wanted to expand to the south and west sides of the city. The architectural styles of the residences Vondelstraat and Van Eeghenstraat are very similar. In 2015, the current owners thoroughly renovated the ground floor of the house in a very tasteful and timeless manner, under the guidance of VKV Restauraties and architect Robbert de Goede. Beautiful natural materials were used, and the well-thought-out layout gives the house a lot of character, atmosphere, and charm.
