neighborhood Rie Mastenbroekstraat is located on Zeeburgereiland, a new neighborhood in Amsterdam.

Most projects have already been completed, the primary and secondary schools are open, and the hospitality industry has also found its way to the island, with establishments such as Bluey's Coffee, Espressofabriek, Kaap Amsterdam, and Restaurant Haddock. Of course, there is also a supermarket for daily shopping.

The island is a perfect combination of city living and the rural North, with its beautiful nature in the immediate vicinity. In short, a wonderful place to live.

Accessibility
The roads to the A10, exit S114, can be reached within a few minutes, and tram 26 provides an excellent connection to the city center. Buses 37 and N89 are also in the immediate vicinity.

Wow, what a view!

As soon as we entered Rie Mastenbroekstraat 75, we knew: this is the house in Amsterdam we had been searching for for so long.

A penthouse with a huge Roof terrace views over virtually the whole of Amsterdam, from IJburg via the IJ and Ransdorp to Central Station. Almost every day we enjoy the sunset over the IJ, which is different and special every day.

The house itself is very light, thanks to the large windows on all sides. This penthouse is a semi-detached house on the sixth floor, with no neighbors above. It is extremely comfortable to live in: everything is on one level, with an elevator, well-maintained corridors and hallways, the convenience of five private bike spaces in the covered bike shed, and a parking space in the nearby garage.

The neighborhood is quiet, but with the necessary liveliness provided by the sports park right outside the door. In Schellingwoude, we like to go to the Landmarkt: a supermarket with lots of fresh produce from the neighborhood.

The charming Kaap Amsterdam is a pleasant place to sit and eat. And across the bridge, you're in the meadows in no time, walking or cycling to Durgerdam and Waterland.

Krux brewery

Cruquiuseiland used to be one large shipyard. Now, only one brewery remains. It's a place where beer is brewed and where you can also come and drink. According to some, it's the smallest brewery in Amsterdam. This has two advantages: the small batches make it easy to experiment with recipes, and the beer is always super fresh!

Museum Perron Oost

With a Floor area 6 m2, Museum Perron Oost in the Eastern Docklands is perhaps the smallest museum in the world. In 1993, artist and designer Joep van Lieshout transformed the former cattle market platform into a mini park, complete with an empty freight car. It shows the past 150 years of history of this part of the city: there are stories of cattle traders, circus parades, liner services to Indonesia, Suriname, and the United States, Jewish refugees, young delinquents, squatters, and urban nomads. Since 2013, Museum Perron Oost has been telling the stories of old and new local residents in the form of theater, film, dance, music, visual arts, or combinations thereof. The museum on the platform also hosts exhibitions about different periods in the history of the Eastern Docklands.
