Neptunus
Neptunus is located in the sheltered Linnaeushof, a place with a distinct, almost village-like atmosphere within the city. The courtyard layout, the greenery, and the tranquil setting give this location its own unique character. The current residents have lived here since 1999. The home has been used extensively and carefully maintained during that time. Now that the children have left home, the house has become too spacious, prompting the decision to take the next step and move out of the city. The combination of the location, the dimensions, and the layout of the home makes Neptunus suitable for a household seeking space in a quiet and green residential environment.

The garden is absolutely lovely. We eat outside as soon as we can. The birds and the rustling of the trees make this place so special. Right in the heart of Amsterdam, yet so peaceful. An ideal spot to unwind after a day’s work or to spend time with friends and family. The small patio on the side of the house is perfect for enjoying the evening sun. In the spring, fall, and winter, the table by the kitchen is a regular gathering spot—whether with the kids, friends, or family. The open kitchen creates a pleasant atmosphere and a sense of togetherness. The house is a comfortable place to be, whether alone or with others. It’s spacious without feeling too big. We’ve also thoroughly enjoyed having lots of children in the house. The many bedrooms also bedrooms space for guests, young and old. The Linnaeushof is a rare place: a village within the big city. It is a beautiful architectural ensemble, with medieval accents from the Delft School. The large open Garden surrounding property historic church is particularly special. The courtyard is car-free, making it a fantastic environment for children to play outside. As soon as you leave the courtyard, you’re in a lively shopping street with all the amenities: a fishmonger, bakeries, and butcher shops. And a well-stocked bookstore. No fewer than 5 supermarkets are within walking distance. There are at least 4 elementary schools in the neighborhood and several high schools. Plus, plenty of sports facilities (the Jaap Edenbaan is nearby!).
