Comfortable living by the water in a spacious apartment of approximately 128 m² on the sixth floor.
The owner has been living in this lovely corner apartment for almost 20 years. The property is spacious and located in a quiet area in West. At the end of Burgemeester van Tienhovengracht, by the lake, you will find this modern residential complex, built in 2000.
The view is beautiful and the balcony – with the same view – faces south, which adds to the enjoyment of living here.
There are many shops in the immediate vicinity, such as on Plein '40-'45, and the city center is very easy to reach. By bike, along the water and through the greenery, you can reach Bos Lommer in no time and the lively Jordaan neighborhood in five to ten minutes.

Guided tour
There are several entrances on the quay that provide access to the residences the building, making them somewhat smaller and more personal. The elevator takes you to the sixth floor. The living room is sun-drenched and offers an impressive entrance with its beautiful view over the water. The living room is spacious, with a width of almost 7 meters. The kitchen is part of the living room and is semi-open. This kitchen has a light color scheme and is equipped with various built-in appliances, such as a refrigerator, gas stove, oven, etc. The wide wooden plank floor adds a lot of warmth to the whole.
Immediately the living room is a workspace. The open connection allows extra light to enter from the side, which also makes the space suitable as a playroom or library.
The apartment has three spacious bedrooms. Two of them are on the gallery side. Because this apartment is the last one on the gallery, there are hardly any residents walking by. The third bedroom is on the side and adjacent to the laundry room. This space can easily be converted into a second bathroom. The neat bathroom is decorated in dark gray and white and has a spacious walk-in shower and sink. The toilet is separate.

Architecture

Architecture
A shopping center with a parking garage has been combined with 73 residences. This development has given a new boost to the immediate surroundings. By integrating the existing buildings into the complex, a metropolitan block with a higher urban density has been created. The shopping center and the residential buildings are conceived as a single structure, with the use of materials and expression subordinating the constituent typologies to the architectural gesture. The residential buildings act as a 'canopy' and eye-catcher for the commercial functions on the ground floor. The shopping center itself is accessible via a covered walkway that widens at two points to form a covered square. The interplay of (sun)light, wood, and glass creates a warm and natural setting for the individual stores. The pavilions in the water and on the market reinforce the connection with the public space.
OIII architects is the architectural firm involved in this project. They focus on the design and technical development of both buildings and interiors. At OIII architects, interior design and architecture are given equal importance. This not only offers the possibility of creating an integrated building design, but also results in added value for pure architecture or interior design assignments thanks to the knowledge available in both areas.

Flour

Farine is Mitchel Charles' French bakery. He moved from England to Amsterdam just before Brexit and combined his background as a chef and barista here. After years at Coffee & Coconuts, he decided to create his own place, offering French classics that, according to regular customers, taste just like home. Charles sees the business as his personal project, from the bright blue façade to the timeless design, in which he brings together his love of branding and craftsmanship. In the bakery, everything revolves around quality, with butter from France, flour from regenerative agriculture, and coffee from Un.common, carefully selected after visits to several roasters.

The kitchen is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for breakfast, lunch, drinks, and dinner. For lunch, you can choose from various dishes such as grilled vegetables with sweet potato chipotle cream or avocado mash with avocado, egg, and tomato. Lupe

Pedro & Juan Mouneu, two brothers from Mexico City, missed the authentic Mexican flavor in Amsterdam. With Lupe, named after the Mexican patron saint, they bring a Mexican eatery to Amsterdam where authentic dishes and drinks come together. The brothers ran restaurant Los Pilones in the city center for 20 years, mainly catering to tourists. With Lupe, they want to offer a more local and neighborhood-oriented experience. The staff has a Mexican background, and guests can enjoy a menu of delicious snacks to share, such as enchiladas, tortillas with beans and spicy shrimp, and ceviche. The menu changes with the seasons. Lupe also offers weekend brunch dishes such as huevos rancheros and chilaquiles, which the owners say are ideal for soothing a hangover.
