Our favorite spots in the house
Over the years, we’ve gathered many lovely spots in the house, but the sunny Roof terrace head and shoulders above the rest. We’ve spent countless moments here: having breakfast in the morning sun, drinks with friends, or simply enjoying the spectacular view of the Westerkerk. In addition, the back of the house is completely quiet. It’s a place where you can completely retreat, a rare luxury in the city center.
A home that grows with you
This home is ideal for different stages of life. With two kitchens and three Bathrooms perfect for families with young children, but also for parents with college-aged children who need a bit more independence. The many playgrounds in the neighborhood made it a wonderful place for us to grow as a family.
The Neighborhood: Authentic, Lively, and Warm
The Jordaan is a neighborhood that welcomes you with open arms. The streets are full of character, history, and a sense of community that you won’t find just anywhere in the city. Our neighbors are all people who have lived in their own homes for years, creating a close-knit, stable, and pleasant atmosphere. No Airbnbs, no rotating tenants—just nice people who look out for one another.
What we’ll miss the most
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye. Above all, we’ll miss the vibrant city life: the lively streets, the chance encounters, and the energy that makes the Jordaan so unique. But most of all, we’ll miss our wonderful neighbors—the people who have made this house and this neighborhood a true home for us

The neighborhood is full of great places we love to visit. Here are a few of our recommendations:
- Wolf– for delicious fresh bread and other treats
- De Nieuwe Lelie– an authentic pub where you’ll feel right at home
- The many restaurants in the Jordaan and the rest of the city are within walking distance, so there’s always something new to discover
