Art connects: young talent gets a stage.
Art is so much more than just something you hang on the wall. It is a way to share stories, bring generations together in conversation, and discover new perspectives. That's why Broersma Arthouse supports initiatives that provide space for encounters, talent, and inspiration. Last weekend, we did just that with De Nieuwe Vernissage, a pop-up gallery where young talent and an older audience came together and where art, conversation, and curiosity took center stage.
The New Vernissage
Last Saturday, June 28, Broersma Arthouse and art scout Cécé Cohen opened the doors of De Nieuwe Vernissage, a pop-up gallery where young talent (under 25) and an audience over 50 can meet, inspire each other, and perhaps even surprise each other a little.
In a beautiful, stately prime location on Van Eeghenstraat, young artists were given the opportunity to show their work to a curious and engaged audience. A unique combination that led to surprising conversations, new insights, and, not unimportantly, visibility for emerging talent.
We look back with great pleasure on the first edition of De Nieuwe Vernissage and thank all the artists for their inspiration.
Why Broersma Arthouse supports this
At Broersma, we believe in the power of encounters. Between people, between generations, and between art and the spaces in which we live and work. Bringing young creators and an experienced audience together creates mutual inspiration. We are therefore proud to have been at the forefront of this initiative together with Cécé Cohen.
