Nanneke knows what people dream about
“ I like to share my passion for the business with others,’ says Nanneke, who, in addition to her work at Broersma, also teaches at the Academy for Real Estate. With strategic insight and engaging empathy, she points out how important it is to look at social trends and listen carefully to the client: ‘My personal motivation in my work is to support people in this exciting phase of their lives.’
Nanneke intentionally chose to specialise in new builds 15 years ago and took the Residential Market Consultant course at the Academy for Real Estate. She researches, analyses, and advises on housing developments. ‘Because of our close relationships with people who are looking for a home, we know what people dream about. I like to share that knowledge.’
She focusses on dispelling doubts. Like the young woman who came with her father to buy her first property. ‘Her main concern was whether the bedroom had enough room for her shoe collection,’ Nanneke says. She decided to take her to an interior designer, who designed an elegant shelving unit that made ingenious use of the space. ‘It proved to be just what she needed, and we closed the deal.’
It will come as no surprise that Nanneke feels a connection to Amsterdam Noord. ‘Noord is vibrant, the development of the raw industrial area is tangible, which makes it interesting. Taking the bicycle and the ferry to Noord is classic Amsterdam.’
On a summer day, her favourite place is the pavement café of Het Mandelahuisje at Sixhaven, a real hidden gem, where you can sit on the grass with the River IJ rippling at your feet. Another of Nanneke’s recommendations is ‘This Art Fair’. ‘At this art fair in Noord, young artists get the chance to present their work. Broersma is a proud supporter.”
