Jerry is used to getting the best out of himself and others.
As Office Manager at Broersma, Jerry is responsible for optimizing the office. In addition to managing the front and back office and supporting the rest of the office where necessary, he is responsible for IT and assists the partners in streamlining the business strategy, among other things. "The aim is for everyone to be able to work well and feel good. That's how we safeguard the quality of our people and the service we provide to our customers," says Jerry.
“Taking everything to the next level so that our firm continues to innovate and stand out is what motivates me every day,” Jerry explains. “The broad outlines for this are set out in the monthly meetings with the partners, which I chair.”
His background in sports and as a personal trainer contributes to his pursuit of quality. Jerry says: "It's fun and interesting to see where there is room for improvement, whether it's our CRM, the security of our IT systems, or the further application of the Wwft (Money Laundering Prevention Act)."
He started his career as a rental specialist in London. "The housing market in Amsterdam is tight," says Jerry, "but in London it's completely overheated. That makes it even more rewarding to help people find the right place."
He now lives in the Jordaan neighborhood, which he likes. “Amsterdam is big, but not too big, and the quality of life is good,” Jerry says. “There are specialty shops, nice restaurants, and entertainment around the corner. I like going to the movies, and the Filmhallen in Amsterdam is a real must. It’s a great place to relax in a beautiful atmosphere and enjoy a nice meal.”
