Not standard but unique: Babette on special houses and furniture.

As a rental agent at a smaller agency, Babette came into contact with Ronald through mutual acquaintances, after which she made the switch to Broersma Wonen. "I was already familiar with the name, and I liked the fact that there was a larger team working here. After five years of working alone, collaborating, learning from each other, and enjoying a pleasant working atmosphere were exactly what I was looking for."

She has now completed her real estate agent training alongside her full-time job. She describes herself as a real people person: enthusiastic, positive, and a strong communicator. "Selling a home is an emotional decision, and I think it's important that clients feel heard."

At Broersma, she worked on projects including a former paint factory on Cruquiusweg with a surprising mix of industrial and modern styles. She sees how the market is changing: many older people want to downsize, and first-time buyers are looking for perfectly furnished homes. "I often advise people to experience how a house feels before embarking on a major renovation."

Babette lives in Amsterdam-Oost, after a life full of moves within and outside the Netherlands. In her spare time, she enjoys sports, from strength training to long walks with her dog. She also has a passion for refurbishing furniture: she searches Marktplaats for cabinets and sideboards that she gives a second life with paint, stain, or sandpaper. "I find basic styling boring; I love combinations of modern and antique." It's a hobby that fits in nicely with Broersma's idiosyncratic style and the unique buildings of Amsterdam.
