The Van Eesteren Museum is a real neighborhood museum that is run by volunteers from the neighborhood. The focus of this museum is on the post-war architecture and art of Amsterdam. The museum is named after urban planner Cornelis van Eesteren, whose cultural-historical heritage of post-war urban development can be found in the museum. In the Van Eesteren Pavilion, permanent exhibitions can be seen in combination with temporary displays, and in the open-air museum you can learn more about the core principles of Van Eesteren through walks; light, air and space.
