Elegant living in a fully high-end renovated apartment in the city center and on the canal.

Unique living in one of seven luxury apartments at Nieuwe Prinsengracht 11. This apartment is located on the ground floor of a fully renovated and well-insulated monumental building in a unique location. The high-quality finish and choice of materials contribute to a stylish living experience.

A guided tour

The ground floor
This apartment is located on the ground floor of a carefully renovated monumental building on Nieuwe Prinsengracht. The entrance is accessible via the shared entrance and via private glass doors at the front.

Location entrance is Location the living room and/or dining room on the street side. This space is bright and uncluttered and features a pantry, subtly integrated into the interior. Original wooden beams and a sleek finish provide a calm foundation. The hall contains the toilet and provides access to the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and sink, finished with light natural stone and sleek sanitary ware.

At the rear is the open-plan kitchen, designed with custom cabinets, a spacious cooking island, and fully integrated appliances. A skylight and large French doors provide plenty of daylight and a direct connection to the outdoors. The living room opens onto the spacious garden, which serves as an extension of the living area and is a special feature in this urban setting.

The building
The monument was originally built in 1736 as a warehouse serving as a storage facility, stable, and coach house. This building is a characteristic example of early 18th-century utilitarian architecture along the canal. The original structure, including the exterior and the main supporting structure of the front section, has been largely preserved intact. Parts of the connecting wing and the rear section also appear to date back to this early construction phase. Starting in the mid-1970s, the entire building was repurposed as a residence—a new chapter in a long history of transformation, during which the original structure was carefully preserved.

The building is now part of the Nieuwe Prinsengracht 11 renovation project, which has resulted in the creation of seven apartments. The project design has been carefully thought out and has a high-end look and feel.

Willet-Holthuysen House

The impressive Willet-Holthuysen House is located in the heart of Amsterdam. This double mansion on Herengracht houses numerous period rooms. The name of the house is derived from the couple who lived here at the end of the 19th century: Abraham Willet and Louisa Holthuysen. They collected a wealth of art and objects and had the interior designed according to their personal taste. Even at the time, this beautiful house was considered a tribute to a romantic past. The interior served as a means for the couple to share their taste and prosperity with others. The magnificent salons are decorated in the style of Louis XVI, and the garden is symmetrically laid out as a formal French garden. In these romantic period rooms, the Amsterdam Museum organizes exhibitions featuring work by contemporary artists and collectors.

Alpha Deli

He works on the floor himself, greets his guests personally, and serves traditional Greek coffee and snacks such as spanakopita and savory filo pastries. Most of the ingredients come from Greece, so the flavors remain close to home. In an accessible setting (in the spirit of an Amsterdam café), the cuisine here is (now truly) Michelin-star quality. The kitchen serves casual dishes to share, and the now famous wine selection is divided into a menu of "affordable" wines and an extensive menu of 800 different bottles.  Zoldering is very popular, so book well in advance. You can also try walking in on the day itself for a glass of wine at the bar. The owners have now opened a wine shop (Lof, de wijnwinkel) and a second restaurant, Boon en de Koot.
