The Elegant Deer
We became acquainted with the apartment at the beginning of 2024. The practical layout and optimal sizing were immediately appealing. The space feels very open, and the distribution with two bedrooms makes the apartment suitable for a wide audience. The building and the home were qualitatively and tastefully renovated in 2010, and this is still visible. The location, right in the middle of the chic center’s lively part, is perfect, and almost all amenities are within walking distance. This includes the Vondelpark, gyms, trendy coffee bars, cozy restaurants, and various fashion and vintage clothing stores.

Designvision
The building at Elandsgracht 101 was built in 1892. There are various decorative elements to be observed in the facade. The facade anchors are richly decorated, and the broad brick lintels above the windows give the building a unique character. Notably, the masonry layer between the ground floor and the first floor is executed in a sawtooth bond. The cornice facade is quietly designed and emphasizes in its detailing the three large window sections.
In 2009/2010, the building underwent a complete renovation, which also included the restoration of the foundation. During this extensive renovation, the floors were enlarged and expanded. Balconies were added to the rear, and a roof terrace was created on the extension and the attic floor. Internally, the apartments were also thoroughly renovated and insulated, resulting in the building currently having an energy label B. In 2011, a division permit was subsequently applied for and granted by the municipality of Amsterdam, after which the building was divided into 4 apartment rights. Eventually, in 2020, the deed of division was amended, splitting the double upper house into two separate apartments.
