In the heart of Amsterdam, on the bustling Oostenburg, a striking trio is taking shape: The Triplets. Three distinctive buildings, each with its own character, yet together they form a cohesive whole that excels in design and comfort. This location offers tranquility and space for business with a touch of urban sophistication. The Triplets is working with a touch of luxury: stylish, free, urban, and unmistakably Amsterdam.

In addition to 21 condominiums and three townhouses, the new construction project also includes three commercial spaces to be built on the ground floor. In the middle building, located at Number , a rectangular space of approximately 48 m² of gross floor area will be created. This sale includes one apartment unit, which is part of a small-scale, newly established homeowners’ association. The property will be delivered as a shell; there is no leasehold land involved, and the sale is Inclusive of purchaser's costs. Heat pumps and insulated glass contribute to an expected energy label of A++++ and ensure an energy-efficient and comfortable working environment. Characteristic features of this space include the large windows, a front width of 5.6 meters, and a ceiling height of up to 3.2 meters.

The Triplets is one of the last new construction projects still to be completed in Oostenburg. Following the expected completion in the summer of 2027, you’ll be able to design and finish the space to your own specifications. After that, you can start your business right away without any worries or prolonged disruption from other construction projects. The broad zoning plan offers a wide range of possibilities, from offices and retail to social, cultural, sports, and recreational facilities.

Oostenburg is a former industrial urban island, surrounded by water and located right in the heart of the city. The island is being transformed into a vibrant urban neighborhood. Here, you’ll work within the A10 ring road, in the heart of Amsterdam, surrounded by the atmosphere of distinctive industrial buildings, rugged quay walls, and the iconic blue derricks of
Werkspoor.

Amid this rich heritage, sustainable apartment buildings, creative hubs, local initiatives, and a few self-build homes are taking shape. The contrast between the island’s rugged industrial history and contemporary architecture gives it its unique character.

Building

The Triplets consists of three unique buildings that share a common aesthetic: elegant yet rugged. They differ in shape, color, and material. Sturdy brick, concrete, and ceramic give them a rugged look, while gold-colored window frames and refined, gold-toned facade details add a touch of lightness and elegance.

The building on the left is bright and rhythmic, featuring soft tones and clean lines. The building in the middle exudes warmth and a sense of security with its sturdy brickwork and deep window frames. The building on the right is light and open, with playful details and a modern silhouette. Together, they form a distinctive ensemble with a cosmopolitan feel.

The Triplets is being developed by Dura Vermeer Bouw Midden West based on a design by architect Marcel Lok of the architectural firm of the same name.

Construction will begin in the first quarter of 2026, with completion expected in the summer of 2027.

VRR

Restaurant VRR, together with Stadsbakkerij As, is located in the historic building dating from 1895, which was used as a staff canteen and laundry room by the Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw-Maatschappij (Dutch Shipbuilding Company). Chef and owner Sander Overeinder, formerly of restaurant AS, among others, has always been a pioneer. Here, too, the biodynamic fruit and vegetables come from his native region of Beemster. Many of the dishes are prepared over an open fire. The delicious bread (from As, of course) is also available For Sale in the adjacent shop. The wine list has been compiled with great care, knowledge, and love. It features biodynamic and, above all, natural wines from France, Italy, and Germany, among other countries.

His vision for Fyr is inspired by the four elements—water, earth, air, and fire—which together form the basis of the seasonal dishes. Muller works extensively with local products and techniques such as wood-fired cooking, symbolized by the large wood-fired oven in the kitchen. The menus are carefully constructed and reflect his love of robust flavors and elegant presentation. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with a modern interior.

When he continued this in his Rear garden in Amsterdam, friends first became his customers and grew into an established smokehouse. With a Floor area 6 m2, Museum Perron Oost in the Eastern Docklands is perhaps the smallest museum in the world. In 1993, artist and designer Joep van Lieshout transformed the former cattle market platform into a mini park, complete with an empty freight car. It shows the past 150 years of history of this part of the city: there are stories of cattle traders, circus parades, liner services to Indonesia, Suriname, and the United States, Jewish refugees, young delinquents, squatters, and urban nomads. Since 2013, Museum Perron Oost has been telling the stories of old and new local residents in the form of theater, film, dance, music, visual arts, or combinations thereof. The museum on the platform also hosts exhibitions about different periods in the history of the Eastern Docklands.
