Since 1672, it was called Rijkeroord, originating from a polder located near the Nieuwe Meer. In 1614, a mill named De Dommekracht was placed on this bulwark.
At Marnixstraat 285, a facade stone of this mill is still visible. The later corn mill De Bloem was demolished in 1878. The house on Bloemstraat is part of a historic architectural ensemble from the first half of the 19th century. In 2021, the house was completely renovated and the space was optimized by a skilled architect.
The house exudes a sense of space, detail, and connection. The sliding doors in the living kitchen and the living room leading to the beautifully designed inner garden contribute to this contemporary living experience. The urban character is in harmony with modern design and optimal use of space, both indoors and outdoors.
