De Veenhoeve
A home between the water and meadows. Just beyond the historic town center of Vinkeveen, three villas will be built. The homes offer sweeping views of the peat meadows and the water of the wetlands, which are so uniquely characteristic of this area.
De Veenhoeve
De Veenhove is set to be developed on a plot on Demmerik. Three villas with residential floor areas in excess of 200 sqm, each on a large plot. Explore the lakes with a small boat, canoe or stand-up paddle board. Living in De Veenhoeve is a choice for country living, with room to breathe and relax, yet only a 20-minute drive from Amsterdam and Utrecht.
The three villas
The architecture is based on the farmhouse that once stood here. With classic country architectural details, such as paned windows, and the dark trim along the bottom of the facades and dormers. The garden house of Demmerik 7A is reminiscent of a haystack. The villas will be extremely energy efficient, fitted with triple glazing, solar panels, floor heating and a heat pump. Floor cooling also ensures a comfortable indoor climate during the summer. They are currently busy with the construction, and it is expected that the homes will be completed by the beginning of 2024.
Living in Vinkeveen
Historically was set in a polder landscape, the. town is now particularly known for the Vinkeveense Plassen lakes and the unique infrastructure of the meadows where the peat was left too dry. Today, a section of the Demmerik polder is currently designated as a ‘wetlands’ nature reserve, where the land gradually gives to the water, an ideal, tranquil habitat for water and grassland birds.
Groceries are available nearby, from one of the local country shops for example. There are also hidden gems here, including coffee bars and terraces, spots that have not yet been discovered by tourists. Visit the Thursday market in Abcoude or go to Lindenhoff market shop in Baambrugge on Saturday for delicious organic produce. Vinkeveen is home to three elementary schools, a daycare center and a secondary school.
