Tiffany de Raad-Baro
New Build Consultant

Tiffany creates custom experiences for the client

‘Looking beyond the pile of sales documents’ is what new build is all about if you ask Tiffany. ‘I like to turn my solid business knowledge about a project into something tangible, something human.’

She earned her real estate license at the Academy for Real Estate in Nieuwegein, where she also trained as a Housing Market Consultant. ‘It can seem like we’re selling pipe dreams with new builds,’ jokes Tiffany, emphasising the importance of guiding clients through the sales process and gaining their trust. ‘We look at the drawings and artist’s renderings and brainstorm the interior together.’

She also lives in a new build home, where the sunny kitchen is her favourite spot. ‘We eat at the big wooden kitchen table, I sometimes work there, and I have great conversations with my two teenagers there.’

One piece of Amsterdam art that always intrigues Tiffany is the ‘Figure découpée of L’oiseau’, also known as the ‘Picasso sculpture’ or the flat bird or fish sculpture. ‘I think it’s so special that this is in the park, just around the corner from the Broersma office,’ says Tiffany, who isn’t the biggest fan of Picasso’s work but does think there is something exciting about it. ‘You have to use your own imagination to see something in it. That feels similar to what I do in my job, where I’m translating a home that has yet to be built, telling stories and creating an experience for the client.’

‘Figure découpée or L’oiseau’, the Picasso sculpture in Vondelpark, is located near Cornelis Schuytstraat in the district of Amsterdam Zuid.
