Demmerik 9
Want to explore Vinkeveense Plassen lake district this summer with your own boat, canoe or SUP? Construction is well underway, and the homes are expected to be completed before the end of the summer in 2023.
On a lot of approximately 2,665 sqm construction of the detached villa 9 Demmerik is underway, on the site of the summer house near the farm that once stood here. A distinct feature of this villa is the ground-floor extension with facade panels in lead-grey siding. The home offers a gorgeous view of the water and the peat meadows.
The double front door instantly lends the home a luxury look and feel. The open gallery in the entrance is a striking feature, emphasizing a fabulous sense of space. The large kitchen/lounge with French doors to the garden and the tall ceilings due to the slanted roof lend the home a quintessential farmhouse ambiance. The living room has triple aspect windows, for abundant daylight entry and exquisite views. French doors to two sides of the living room underscore the country living atmosphere. The study is the perfect place to work from home, use as a studio or a private practice.
The open gallery makes the landing bright. The bedroom at the front will span the full width of the home. The other two bedrooms are at the rear and have sweeping views of the water and meadows behind Demmerik. Large dormers add extra living space. This level also features a separate restroom and a large bathroom. The storage room accommodates the fittings for the laundry station.
There is more storage space in the attic, which can be accessed by a loft ladder.
De Veenhoeve
De Veenhove is set to be developed on a plot on Demmerik. Three villas with residential floor areas in excess of 200 sqm, each on a large plot. Explore the lakes with a small boat, canoe or stand-up paddle board. Living in De Veenhoeve is a choice for country living, with room to breathe and relax, yet only a 20-minute drive from Amsterdam and Utrecht.
The three villas
The architecture is based on the farmhouse that once stood here. With classic country architectural details, such as paned windows, and the dark trim along the bottom of the facades and dormers. The garden house of Demmerik 7A is reminiscent of a haystack. The villas will be extremely energy efficient, fitted with triple glazing, solar panels, floor heating and a heat pump. Floor cooling also ensures a comfortable indoor climate during the summer. Construction will start in September 2022, and the total build is expected to take approximately one year to complete. Sales will start soon. Register at the project website, and we will send you regular updates.
Living in Vinkeveen
Historically was set in a polder landscape, the. town is now particularly known for the Vinkeveense Plassen lakes and the unique infrastructure of the meadows where the peat was left too dry. Today, a section of the Demmerik polder is currently designated as a ‘wetlands’ nature reserve, where the land gradually gives to the water, an ideal, tranquil habitat for water and grassland birds.
Groceries are available nearby, from one of the local country shops for example. There are also hidden gems here, including coffee bars and terraces, spots that have not yet been discovered by tourists. Visit the Thursday market in Abcoude or go to Lindenhoff market shop in Baambrugge on Saturday for delicious organic produce. Vinkeveen is home to three elementary schools, a daycare center and a secondary school.
